Hampton Inn Daytona/Ormond Beach

What a Mess! Renovations are great but not while staying... Sorry it should be noted when making a reservation, why not? I'm sure it will be nice once it's all complete. But the whole place was a construction zone! The lobby, the reception desk, the breakfast room, the whole first floor including hallway to rooms, the elevators, and even the 4th floor where my room was. I would think it was the same for all floors in between... It is nice to see this location get the update it so needs but why not confine and isolate it to from the rest of the hotel. Does the whole place have to be done at once, obviously the owner thought so, but how about closing down then and get it done without inconveniencing the guest? I recommend calling ahead to see if construction is done before booking. I will too before returning here!

Good Hampton Inn, nothing extremely special or anything, we just used it as a stop/layover to get to Orlando the next day. Location seems to be good and in proximity of Daytona Beach (20 minutes away). Beds were comfy, TV was large, breakfast was just standard Hampton Inn stuff but the juice machines were broken. Service was also friendly at the desk. I don't have too much to say for this one as we only stayed one night, but from the looks of it, there could also be an upgrade necessary for this hotel. This location does have 1 Tesla Destination Charger. So if you're staying here and you drive a Tesla, you do have a spot to charge up. We got ours filled up overnight and it worked great - 15 mi/hr which is pretty standard but don't expect Supercharger level speed. Tbh, if you can, just charge at the nearest Supercharger which is like 3.5 miles away (8 minutes). This charger was on the fence of breaking, I was terrified. The cable was being held together with duct tape and that is completely not safe at all for charging. We did charge and it worked fine but what if someone gets shocked?! These chargers are pulling in tons of electricity so I would suggest to management that they get the cable fixed for safety.

Stayed here for a night and Hampton Inns are our go to. This location was nice. The room had a nice large big screen tv and the beds were comfy. Pillows were super soft, which I was not a big fan of however and the room had some wear a tear. Stains on the ceiling and a dingy shower, but seemed clean overall. Breakfast was good as usual and the ladies running breakfast where attentive and friendly. I would recommend stopping here.

We have stayed at this hotel numerous times due to convenient location. During our latest stay the refrigerator in our room was broken and had a foul smell. The furniture was very worn down. The bathroom was particularly in need of repairs and cleaning (see pictures). When we told the lady at the front desk about these issues she told us they were scheduled for renovations “next week.” However, in one of our previous stays about two years ago they told us they were doing renovations soon when we told them the wall AC unit was making a very loud noise that kept us from sleeping well that night. Next time we are in town visiting family we will be looking for other lodging options.
